What should I prepare or how should
my child come dressed to the studio?
Casual attire is best, so they can change easily into their costume. If you are having their hair, face, or nails prepared, PLEASE take care of this in advance. There is a limited amount of studio time reserved just for you and we want to be able to make it magical and get all the poses.
Creative Hint
Add face gems to add an extra
creative touch to the portraits!
Do you provide hair or makeup services?
We do not provide these services. If this is something you want to do, please take care of this well in advance and arrive ready to start the session.
Can you take portraits of
a special needs child?
We have photographed all ages and all types of children. Just give us a heads up in the notes section of your reservation process. This will help us prepare.
How much time do we spend in the studio?
The most magical moments are in the studio. Arriving early and getting changed efficiently will help make this a stress free and memorable session. The actual time on the set is 10 to 20 minutes. THIS is the ideal length of time. The child stays focused and involved and, hopefully, glides through 30-40 poses. Yes, 30-40 poses. This is truly a
professional photoshoot.
Why schedule 1 hour when studio time is only 10-20 minutes?
Although you spend 10-20 minutes on the set, you do spend time taking care of some other items: checking-in, changing into costume, and receiving directions from the photographer before we start. After the session you get the opportunity to take your own pictures in front of our social media wall. Then you have to change back into your regular attire. Then there is the scheduling of your Zoom Consult. Lastly, there is a surprise for the child that we save for the very end.
And we need time to prepare for the next session.
How do we get to view the pictures?
At the end of your session we schedule a "Zoom Consult".
This is where we schedule a date and time for you to view the pictures from the comfort of your own home. You can have the whole family join in on the presentation.
Warning: bring a box of tissues!
What is the cost?
You are getting a $500+ value for only $45. That's right, $45 for a one child portrait session.
This includes:
Studio time, photographer's time, costume rental, social media pictures, one 8x10 print, and one digital
What if I want to purchase pictures.
At the zoom consult you will get the opportunity to preview and purchase pictures. We hope to offer reasonably priced selections. Check out pricing here:
What is a "zoom consult"?
The zoom consult is when you get to view your pictures from the comfort of your own home via zoom. You will be shown all the pictures and given the opportunity to select your 8x10 print and digital (of the same image). This is also the opportunity to purchase any additional pictures or digital images. Check out our pricing link above.
Scheduling a "zoom consult"?
At the end of the portrait session the photographer will sit with you and schedule a zoom consult.
What happens if I miss my zoom consult?
You will receive several reminders about your zoom consult. If you cannot make it, PLEASE let us know in advance so we can try to fill up that space with another parent's zoom consult. We offer one reschedule. If you miss a second rescheduled zoom consult, your opportunity select your pictures will expire, as well as the opportunity to purchase other pictures.
How do I book a session?
Click on any "reserve your session" button and see what dates and times are available. Our theme portraits sessions are in high demand. We cannot guarantee availability. Most often our studio requires 2-4 weeks advanced booking. However, we do get cancellations and you may be able to
book your session sooner.
You can reserve your session right here:
Can I reserve a session for
two or more children?
Absolutely! We have options for multiple children and you can add an adult! Maybe schedule a "mommy & me" photoshoot!
Can adults join their child?
Absolutely! We often have moms and dads join in. Friendly reminder to arrive early so we can help mom into her costume.
Can we reserve a session for adults only.
Absolutely! We sometimes have partners come in and live out their fairy and warrior dreams on our set. We even have cosplay enthusiasts reserve sessions with us.
Friendly reminder- Please arrive early.
Late arrivals may have to reschedule.
We want this to be a magical and stress free
photoshoot. For this to happen we need plenty of time for the entire process, from greeting, to costume
change, to 30+ poses, and more. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we will, more than likely,
have to reschedule.
If you arrive 10 minutes, or more, late
we will probably have to reschedule.
